Presentation

The Geneva University Investment Club (GUIC) is the only investment club at the University of Geneva. Our main activities are to provide our members with practical experience of the markets, whether through training in financial analysis, organizing events for club members (conferences, training courses, etc.) or organizing public events.

Our departments

The GUIC is divided into four departments, each represented by its team leader who, together with the other team leaders and the portfolio manager, consults to establish the Club's strategy.

We organize a weekly meeting attended by all Club members. These meetings allow us to stay up to date on financial news, present stock analyses, decide on stock purchases and sales, and organize internal and external GUIC events. It is also during these meetings that our partners come to give lectures or presentations on pre-determined topics.

In addition to these meetings, the team leaders and the head of analysis and portfolio management organize weekly sessions dedicated solely to the overall strategy of our AGORA fund.

At GUIC, we pay particular attention to financial analysis, whether macro, quantitative, market-based, or sentiment-based, as it is the DNA of our club.Throughout the year, we help our members develop their financial perspective and refine their analysis, in particular through the presentation and study of financial assets. Each semester, our four departments review a financial asset and present it to the rest of the club.In addition, throughout the year, we welcome experts in their fields to share their knowledge with us.

Guic is committed to organizing events, both public and private, to bring together investment enthusiasts. Every semester, financial experts come to share their experiences, knowledge, and analyses with our members. In addition, conferences open to the public make these exchanges accessible to everyone.
